Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information BackendSide ("we", "us", "our") collects through backendside.com, how it is used, and who else may process it — in particular our payment provider, Paddle.
1. Information We Collect Directly
We collect information you provide to us directly, such as:
- Name and email address submitted through our contact form or support tickets
- Account information if you sign in to our site, including via Google Sign-In, which shares your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by Google
- Any information you include in support requests or correspondence with us
2. Information Collected via Payment Processing
Purchases made directly on backendside.com are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as merchant of record. When you make a purchase, Paddle collects and processes payment details (such as card information, billing address, and email) directly — we do not receive or store your full payment card details. Paddle acts as an independent data controller for this information and processes it under its own privacy policy, available at paddle.com/legal/privacy. We receive limited transaction information from Paddle (such as your email address, product purchased, and order status) in order to deliver your license and provide support.
If you purchase our software through the Microsoft Store or Google Play instead, that platform's own privacy policy governs how your payment and account information is handled.
3. Cookies and Site Analytics
Our website may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics and standard web server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) to understand site usage and maintain security. The site is served through Cloudflare, which may process technical request data as part of providing content delivery and security services.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to: provide and deliver the software you've licensed; respond to support requests and inquiries; maintain the security and functionality of our website; and communicate important updates about products you use. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data Retention
We retain contact and support information for as long as necessary to provide support and comply with legal obligations. Transaction records related to purchases are retained by Paddle in accordance with its own policies and applicable financial regulations.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights for information held directly by us, contact [email protected]. For information related to a purchase (such as billing details held by Paddle), you may also contact Paddle directly.
7. Children's Privacy
Our software and services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and publish the revised policy at this same URL.
9. Contact
